Altlat is an offline-first GPS activity logger for hiking, cycling, and everything in between. Record anywhere — no signal, no account, no fuss. Back up to the cloud only when you choose to.
Built for long days out: low battery drain, full offline maps, and a recorder that survives lock screens and dropped signal.
Tracks record straight to your phone. Airplane mode, dead zones, multi-day hikes — nothing is lost and nothing needs a connection.
Start walking, riding, or driving and Altlat notices, starts logging, and files the activity under the right type.
Multiple open map sources with full tile caching, a compass mode, scale bar, and a proper dark theme for night hikes.
Distance, time, and pace ride along as an iPhone Live Activity — glanceable from the lock screen and Dynamic Island.
Import GPX routes from anywhere, pin saved routes on the recording map, and keep your history portable.
Sign in with Apple or Google and finished tracks back up automatically. Stay signed out and everything simply stays on your phone.
Local by default. Altlat records to a database on your device. Until you sign in, no location data ever leaves your phone.
Backup is opt-in. Signing in with Apple or Google syncs your finished tracks to your private account so you can restore them later. We store your tracks, an email address, and nothing else — no ads, no analytics brokers, no selling data.
Deletion is total. Delete your account any time from the You tab in the app. It permanently removes your account and every synced track from our servers; the copies on your phone remain yours.
